About the pickups, i am sorry but there is no way you can try it as i have extracted them out...
if you worry about the working condition i can always follow you to a guitar luthier have him hook it up
to make sure they are working...( althought i can assure you 101% its working..:/ )

advise to buyers:
if you are looking to buy the pickups i would assume you have already checked out the pickup sounds and/or already
know what you are buying thus, i cannot allow test and see if you like the tone, i dont run a shop =.=
