Getting your music out overseas???

Hi there,
just need some tips aside from what i already know.
I feel Singapore is really a small narrow music market that caters only to Chinese pop music. I am not really into making music simplified and i find Chinese pop utterly boring. I prefer electronic experimental ambient music, but i find the market here isn't really so much in favour of it, or even if there are venues, there aren't labels with enuff financial means to support acts in these genres.
I am trying to get out to other countries, knowing that these music are more popular there. Anyone knows whatz the best way to get out overseas??? Not being there, how do we get further than just sending our tracks over??
