Getting a RG470 (mij) overseas

Im right now in US and is thinking of getting a guitar, playing for a few weeks then shipping it back to singapore when I return.

I'm looking at the ibanez RG470 selling at $275 USD, some chips at the btm back. (http://s134.photobucket.com/albums/q119/pauldogx/RG470/) Is this a good buy, considering I have to ship it back to sg?

Anyone shipped a RG back to sg before? How much does it cost?

not sure if its a good buy. but with the current recession. shipping is much cheaper. so imo, its a better buy than before cos shipping would cost more.

the price is slightly steep. anyway I do not trust shipping... I always hand carry instruments.. I have heard enough stories of broken cellos and stuff
