Cos the organiser, Bishan CC MAEC, wants the bands to sell like 30 tickets in about a week's time.
They have done a wonderful job of zero promotion and expects that pulling of a tactic like forcing the bands to sell tix would save the situation.
Thay have no initiative to print out posters or flyers and expect the $$$$ to flow easily into their whatever.

Paying to play for a gig? Well...it's just one of those nonsense thing which has been spreading in the market nowadays. These kind of organisers have no intention of giving a plateform for musicians but wanna squeze them dry man! If things worked out well, they'll get the name for being one of those who in the name of music gave such great opportunities for young musicians, luckily one of them has closed down. Selling tickets is like paying for it. The terms normally sell a certain number of tickets or pay some kind of amount. Hehehe...!!
