Gah after seeing your guitar at G77, it made me wanna get an unvarnished guitar.. wonder what it would take to strip the varnish off. and i love the H2O. the attack of the GAS

I didn't know too. I go NS come out during block leave and see soooo many people with 321s. Haha..

The H2O is not true bypass at all. There's this high pitched whine when it's plugged into my setup. ShredCows told me it's something to do with the power supply and if I get a dedicated adapter for the H2O it will be ok

wow mr subby 8O another guitar.. if your address ever leaks out, i'll be the first to be there

okay kidding.

sanXp, is your amp the same one at Davis? 'Coz when I was testing out my guitar yesterday, they plugged into one which had a gold strip like yours too...and it sounded pretty nice...so I was wondering if it was the same one...

Hey darkness, I'm not too sure, I got it from mikemann's studio some time back.

daryl, yep the h2o isn't true bypass, much to my disappointment.

you might have heard a Marshall in action @ Davis- look carefully, his amp is a Smarvo.

there's another amp in the first pict.its a samick. :D

None of the visual sound pedals are true bypass. They do however have a reportedly good buffered bypass.

You guys are mixing up the two problems. Is the hiss you are talking about when the effect is ON or when it is bypassed? Hiss during the effect can be considered quite normal. Hiss during bypass is horribly unacceptable.

True bypassing the the visual sound pedals is not as simple as a drop in. The DPDT footswitches are soldered onto the PCB so there will be some work involved.

As for the hiss during some of the effects, I don't have much of a solution for that, it's usually part of the effect's inherent weaknesses. The way people try to overcome the noise is by replacing the capacitors and resistors with better grade ones, but it is a highly involved mod.

sanXp, does that Smarvo amp sound any good? And how much did you buy?

subversion, the Marshall at Davis...is it expensive?

which model are you refering to? IMO Smarvos are great value for money, & they are WAY more affordable.

FYI i'm in the midst of reviewing this mini Marshall Stack: MG15MSII

Which model...erm...I don't really know...the one on the very first row...which place sells Smarvos? I can't seem to find them...

Wow...that mini Marshall Stack doesn't look anywhere near mini to me...
