Elias - how did you manage to get those left handed guitars (can hardly find any sites that ship to Singapore)? Do let me know if you plan to sell any of em :D

(unfortunately, the 12-string which I rashly paid for $100 from Cash Convertor had a damaged bridge which could be ripped out anytime, so it's wall decoration now :()quote]

Send it to Malcom, he'll fix it up, probably good as new.

Hmm...I've brought it to a couple of guitar stores to enquire about it before and some said it can be fixed but no guarantee when it'll be ripped out again and one of the guys in Sinamex said it's there's' no guarantee it won't happen again too and it's not worth the high cost of fixing it too :/ Reason being the wood around the bridge has actually bulged up and could tear out anytime. Part of it is already ripped out a little along with the bridge. So, it's not a simple matter of glueing back the bridge, have to strength the whole top structure, etc. What's more, it's a 12-string and the string tension is really great...All in all, they say it's not worth the cost considering the fact that I bought it for like $100 and have to spend $200-300 or more to get it fixed :/

OT: DemonOfTheFall...I got my Gibson Flying V from www.guitartrader.com, which ships overseas. My Fender Jaguar is from Ishibashi (which ships overseas too). My Strat's from ebay and the seller is willing to ship overseas. Some online stores are more anal about shipping to Asian/Singapore, but others do ship overseas. Do check out ebay, search on the net for smaller online guitar stores, and be sure to email them to ask cos sometimes, they just might do it.

I'd know where to look if I'm really selling my stuff, but for now, they're for keeps ^^ On the contrary, if anyone's selling a lefty Gibson Les Paul Custom (black), do lemme know cos I'm GASing for one right now

Actually dropped by your blog and saw the LP you're looking for. Perhaps you could try emailing Ishibashi to ask? They are currently selling a Epiphone limited edition run which is basically fully Gibson spec'd.

You just might be lucky and find one that's leftie. Good luck.

P.S. btw what are u working as in NUS? My psyh major fren says he keep spotting u at the central library area.

Cheers
Raymond

Thanks for the info, Raymond :) That's a pretty nice one. Actually another friend suggested Orville LP custom, which is pretty well-made too. But I'm more of looking out for an older Gibson LP custom, both for the resaleability value and to fulfill what I've been wanting to get; As they'd say...Only a Gibson is good enough! *lol* Just kidding on that part. But frankly, it's hard to pick a good Epiphone or other LP clones without actually trying it out. With the uncertainties in mind, the best bet is to get a supposedly better spec/built Gibson LP.

P.s Recently, I saw a few lefty Gibson LP customs (70s/80s) in good condition being sold on ebay under US$2000!!! Shall wait for more to come by...wish me luck! ;)

OT: Damn...I was caught in the act by your friend *lol* Actually I'd tend to have my lunch at the Arts canteen and usually I'd go to the forum/Co-op to browse books, buy tidbits, or check out the bazaar, etc ;) Erm...how did your friend know it's me? :?

hey Shredcow,

thanks for reassuring my concern to send the JS to mal tan. but cost is a very important issue here, I guessed. Good workmanship => Gotto pay

Good workmanship => Gotto pay

Very true. Somethings, don't scrimp. 8) Anyway, Malcom will advise on the course of action, and give you a quote.

unsane

thats a veri orgasmic guitar, i wished i had that, edge bridge, maple fingerboard, reverse headstock......

anw how old is it and how much u got it for?

no AANJ, its one of those angled heels, not sure what they're called. still fairly good upper fret access though, and on that note, this is THE fastest, most comfortable playing guitar i own..

its a regular production model, though only made in 1992 in small quantities..fairly sought after. serial number dates to 91, practically no fretwear for a 15 year old guitar though.

bridge PU is a Tonezone, neck unknown but probably stock. planning to swap them out with emgs, 85/SA
