if you've watched/ you own the above, any after-thoughts?

Loved Vai set. Petrucci was as intersting as watching paint dry..great playing though. Jam as usual was awesome ... smoke on the water sounded real good :D

i thought that the jam was rather restrained, could've used a Malmsteen injection there... really enjoyed that G3.

i cant focus during malam-steen's section for the denver dvd, he was like all over the place...physically and sonically lol

vaiyen: can't wait too man....though i suspect most likely i'll pop in Testament and headbang till my head drops first haha. INTO THE PIT!

Hmm

G3 Live in Tokyo is nice . . . But kinda boring for John Petrucci segment, he like no showsmanship leh (altho the riffs/solos was damn good!!)

disappointed by the length of the whole vid, with petrucci clocking in 2 songs only and also the exclusion of marty friedman jamming with them on 1 of the songs.

Maybe the next G3 release on dvd, we'll get about 1 or 2 songs per artiste and 2 free jams

but edo, the running time of JP's 2 tracks is equal to the length of Satch's or Vai's set. Yep, he writes looooong, progressive songs.

i guess so, but it just seems to lack in content for this dvd than the past 2 releases. Now i want kotzen, zaza and andy timmons on their own G3 hahahaa
