G&L Guitars

There are many threads discussing all sorts of brands of guitars: Gibson, Fender, Ibanez, Epiphone, etc etc.

I am curious whether anyone has experience with G&L Guitars?

(For those of you who don't know, the L is for Leo, as in Leo Fender. He started the company some time after he left Fender.)

One reason I ask is that I played one a few weeks ago and thought it was one of the best guitars (both for sound and feel) that I have ever played.

To me these are great guitars but completely off most people's radar screens.

So - any contributions?

and G is for George, one of Leo's associates. his full name if George Fullerton but he dont own Fullerton hotel..

i've only tried G&Ls unplugged..
btw almost on display at plaza sing r made of ash right?

I don't think there's a local dealer for proper G&L's. The ones Yamaha brings in are their Korean(?) Tribute models.

those at yamaha are tribute by G&L, like the epiphone of gibson and the squier of fender.

and they cost $1000+! i wonder how much the actual G&L would cost!

"ASAT is a military abbreviation for "anti-satellite"; the name was suggested by author Richard Smith after he read an article about the Air Force's ASAT missile. Both Leo Fender and Dale Hyatt reportedly liked the image of a guitar shooting down things in space, and hence the name "stuck". The name is often (incorrectly) interpreted to mean "After Strat, After Telecaster".

G&L FAQ

I own a G&L Fullerton signature. Beautiful guitar. The only adjustment I had to make was to playing a V-neck, which requires large hands. Apart from that, nothing to complain about. Build quality is great, playability is great, and the finish on the guitar makes you just want to lock it up in your display case so that you can't scratch it.

Get the American ones if you're in the market for one :D
