Fuzzy Gas.

Do approach me if you want to sell your byoc triangle clone. 93809716 hehe

Hi bro, sorry but I have no substitute for this pedal at the moment. :D

You can actually call tymc to assemble the pedal for you, prior to going down in-person to collect. Should take about a week at most. The pedal is relatively inexpensive as well.

Wah! liking the sound of that! would u describe the sound of it to me a little? And also what you tend to use it for? =)

For sound, you can check out youtube videos of Pink Floyd's 'Comfortably Numb' (listen to the 2nd guitar solo) and 'Sorrow' (listen to the heavy opening riff). But in order to get near to these tones, I have to use the combination of OD>>BYOC Beaver>>Delay.

I very seldom use the Beaver alone.

The BYOC is a great way to achieve various vintage or modern Muff tones. TYMC can build to the different specs (triangle, ram's head etc) like mentioned if you give them the details. Or you can just buy the kit and mod it further since Big Muffs are one of the most popular and most modded fuzzes. Of course I can't say if it's 100% like a vintage Muff of whatever era but the Large Beavers I've used have all sounded really good.

finally a mention of pink floyd on soft!!! david gilmour always had a tube driver to pump up his ram or triangle muff. and then a delay running after it. if guitar connection were to have an original ehx triangle or rams head muff i would buy it on 1st of may(heh heh heh)

Don't bother with the original! Unless you're gonna keep it in a time capsule. Check out the Skreddy pedals man. Lunar Module and Pig Mine are great Pink Floyd sounding pedals that cover alot of ground, from the silicon fuzzface to the muffs Gilmour used.

The thing to understand here is that ppl like Skreddy's, Lumpy's Tone Shop, they dont just make clones? They make 'em with top self components.. think NOS .. VOS... so yes.. 300 for a clone done.. quintessentially right.. especially for the anally concerned?... bring it on =)

With that I want to say that the reason why I have stopped saying anything about the recommendations on this page is because I had an epiphany yesterday morning sitting behind my work desk, and paid the deposit for a lunar module. //end thread.

Sweet, enjoy the wait and the pedal! haha. How long is the waitlist now anw? I've heard its been cut down recently.

Sweet.. I was very very close on buying, but I ended up deciding on a white dot Sunface instead.

And what a pity, I sold mine just before Analogman ran out of white dot NKT transistors, the price skyrocketed. I could easily have earned an extra 100usd ++ had I just waited a couple more months.

The website reads 3-4 weeks, but TGP posts say that Marc's been really surprising with the delivery dates lately. So we'll see how my luck goes.

Honestly I had this moment.. like wtheck.. why haven't I thought of this before?!?!?!

Yea and the AM nkt white dots really JUST went out of stock. Jon why... why... why.. did you sell it off so fast!

3 to 4 months man not weeks! I waited 7 months for my Echo, that was before the El Cap came and took his customers away!

It wasn't that recent when he ran out of white dot NKTs in January. I sold mine probably in December for 180usd. Then when they sold out they went for a ridiculous 325usd. The stupid thing is that most people find the red dot NKT more desirable than the white dots in terms of tone.

ah yes.. it's 3-4 months.. my bad.. was typing that while being chased by my boss to head for team lunch lol

Hah yea i rmb asking u about the sunface when u put it up for sale!

Nah the skreddys sound abit bright imo. Same as some of the other clones out there. But basic audio is a different story with their muff clone. Phat!

Thats cool man, if you read earlier i was saying that i wanted a bright articulate fuzz. So after all the homework on many makers and builders, the Lunar Module (LM) really was a bit of a ... duh! on my part. hah.. Yes Basic Audio make really was on my list too! But really the versatility I'm reading about the LM really had me sold.

CANNOT WAIT!
