Fuzz

Subdecay Flying Tomato 2.0 is a versatile fuzz that has a multitude of usable tones, sounds pretty good and can work with buffers.

As for how different - you have to try to know. Its quite difficult to explain in words.

Hi thanks! I will consider... what about octave fuzz? whats that? sorry Im in army so I dont have much of a chance to try pedals as often as I like.. for now words can suffice for me! haha!

an octave fuzz would be a very harsh sounding fuzz that produces and octave UP effect. jimi hendrix uses it quite frequently. hear purple haze for instance.

OR

it could also be a fuzz with an octave DOWN effect, for example, the mxr blue box. jimmy pages solo on 'fool in the rain' made the blue box famous.
