Fretboard preferences

Hi everyone

the fretboard preference (wood type) is really a dichotomised perspective- some prefer the type which they are used to while dismissing the rest, others are willing to try & embrace variety. hope this thread would shed some light on fretboard issues, do share your thoughts. kudos!

Whatever feels good and sounds good will get it i guess.

Currently, 2/3 of my elecs have a rosewood fretboard. Looks do matter too. Depending on the colour of the guitar. haha.

2nd choice - rosewood

of my 9 electrics, 3 are ebony, the remaining are rosewood.

maple fretboards

i prefer a maple fretboard for Fenders but i'm considering a rosewood model in the mean time...

Nothing beats the smooth feel of maple fretboards for me, and I'm also not really a big fan of warmer tones that rosewood carries

Rosewood, the tone rocks, especially when coupled with a mahogany body.

Maple, because it looks so awesome on any guitar.
