Hi!

Have you started recording demos/songs for maybe your debut EP or maybe have personal songs that you are working on yet not getting professional-sounding results from your mixes?

A good mix will make or break a song. Even if you have awesome melodies, arrangements and the most awesome bass player that rips off Donna Lee at 250bpm without breaking a sweat, a bad mix will cause a listener to turn the song off just after 10 seconds.

Ever came across a song and felt that "hey, this song's pretty good but something's missing?" kind of feeling or were listening to your own material and felt it wasn't good enough to stand alongside commercial records playing on radio today?

Offering mixing services for bands/artists that have pre-recorded material with professional-sounding results at a fraction of the price of a full-fledged studio. I've had 7 years of experiencing mixing; working on a wide range of projects including rock bands, personal projects that span several genres etc. I've also worked in the audio post-production facility in Singapore working on radio and TV commercials and various commercial music projects including composing jingles for various corporate bodies.

One of the most prolific projects that I undertook was composing and mixing 987fm's Muttons On The Move show's main jingle and all the stingers that play on the show (the little audio bytes that goes in between segments, songs etc). I've had experience working in Melbourne's music scene, mixing live shows in pubs over in Melbourne, Australia.

Being a musician myself with over 10 years of playing experience, I have also gigged professional playing jazz for up-society events in Singapore including places like Indochine and Marina Bay Sands. Having the engineer understand your music is one of the most important aspects of mixing; if the engineer isn't unable to understand your music and go by the book then he/she would have failed in his role as a intermediary for the creative vision of the artist(s).

My current setup includes the latest ProTools 9 running Waves plugins. Waves has been the top choice for prolific mixing engineers like Tony Maserati (Jason Mraz, Britney Spears, Pussy Cat Dolls, Black Eyed Peas, Mary J. Blige, Craig David etc), Manny Marroquin (Michelle Branch, U2, Dido, Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, Rihanna, Cee Lo, Kanye West etc), David Pensado (Keith Urban, Belinda Carlisle, Jamiroquai etc) and many other top engineers as well.

My current rates are at $30/song with a turn-around time of 1 - 2 days depending on the complexity of the project. I work through FTP e.g. yousendit/zshare.
