it can be used to apply for a conditional admission to the university...but then u have to post the actual A-level results once u get them to confirm ur seat there.

in fact thats what im doing right now..im applying toa few UK univerities with my O level/J1 grades.

yeah the o levels have not been much of a challange. That's why i'm afraid of moderation. I bet the A1 mark for both maths'll be 90, and 80+ for science and poa.

Unfortunately, what I'm asking is a different question.
I'm asking if the marks you get in your O levels make a significant difference during university application. Like, will they look at both your A levels and O levels?

Nope. O's are really nothing when you're taking A's. And i was worried 2 years ago... A's aRgH frigging A's til 20th Nov! Hope i don't screw it up badly.

with the turn of the new year,there's definitely new SOFTies that are taking their O Levels this year too! haha! you're doomed! there's not hope in the government finally ending O levels.

well,
you survival pack should include:
radio/mp3 player
TYS books(all of them)
paper(lots of them)
pen,pencil,etc(stationery)
favourite beverage

food is not a necessity,because once you are in the exam hall you would want to puke all you've excessively stuffed in you for the first quarter of the year.

I'm taking my Os this year...And loads of my classmates are starting to revise already! My school's starting remedials too. Their actions seriously get me nervous...Not to mention the regular reminders that the Os are going to be extremely early this year. :shock:

It's always like that. The school will overreact,keep on reminding you that O Levels is this year for the sec 4E/5Ns then they will ALWAYS say,THE PAPER WILL BE EARLIER. How early can they be? I mean,they will definitely hold it at around September,EARLIEST! Because there's still prelims and that Mother Tongue paper.

If it makes you nervous to watch everyone mug, then join them.

Live, breath and love your TYS. It'll save your nervous behind when the exams come.

And when people advise you to start revising early (like months before) instead of 1 week before the exam and cramming all 2-3 years of stuff into your small brain, TAKE THAT ADVICE.

Don't need to listen to the teachers go on with their count down to the papers, it's unnecessary. Just start early, revise the right way, and you'll be prepared by the end of the day. O levels aren't as hard (if you're lucky) as the schools make it out to be you know... when I had my Os in '06, it was bloody easy, but I didn't study (got la, a little.. but total up the hours not even worth 1 day) so I practically flunked it Zzz.

don't worry,O Levels aren't as tough as y'all say it'll be.
You just gotta do and do and do. It's not even that strenuous when you get the hang of your work. Listen to music and let your second nature take place into revising. It's that simple.

Although I was freaking lazy to start revising,but when I did...I did find some solace it in. Cause y'know,at least you KNOW something when you enter the dreaded hall.
