Just bought a floyd rose guitar from Music theme .
But when i want to tune it , the string keep snapping . I'm pissed off !
Help me man

It's a JD 908 .

Does your bridge float up then piak? Have you tried loosening the springs? What gauge strings are you using now vs the gauge when the guitar was shipped to you? I'm guessing it had 9-42s and your putting in a much heavier set say a 10-58 or 11s or whatever.

Welcome to Floyed Rose land~ Piak!

WOW!
Breen ,
care to teach me how to adjust my FloydRose springs? :D
I don't think i know it!
and its the first time i heard ppl saying springs can be adjusted? o.o
LMAO!

hey dude i have the exact same gtr and also had the same problem. you need to buy a replacement for the black thing in the saddle and tighten it more.

Floyd Rose no springs? No springs behind the guitar giving tension to the baseplate? My Kahler has springs. The screws are there to tighten or loosen. Thought it was the same system my bad.

Wait a minute. I just googled Floyd Rose and they have springs and pictures of springs so why can it not be done? They say loosen or tighten the screws till your bridge is parallel to the guitar body.

So how come you cannot adjust the springs?

i doubt you can just anyhow adjust the tension of the springs unless you take it out then pull and bend it until it's like rubber band but it'll be stupid.
however you can take it out to suit our different tuning. say you're tuning to standard E, typically 3 springs would be use. Standard C, 2 springs because the tuning is very low.

first and foremost,
imo, 2 springs, standard C? you're going to manage with what? flabby strings ?

you need to screw the springs in so that the tension of the springs is higher, therefore lowering the bridge as the tension of the spring counteracts the tension of the string.

but increasing the tension of the springs by adjusting the screws also increases the tension of the strings.

really, if you are unsure, take it back down to music theme. :)

it has springs ,
but when you adjust it ,
problems will come ,
height of floyd rose and whatever shit.
the springs there can't be adjust ,
only the screws can btw.
LOL!
improve on your english breen! :D
No Offence though.

comparing language proficiency you have no right to comment on breen's language because you typically sound really stupid saying that.

I do not wish to get into who started what and you have stated you have no offence in your posts. Accepted. I do hope you get your Floyd Rose sorted out.
