First time performing. HOW?

Haha hello people. My band will be performing for the first time in public thanks to some people in our school organizing this CIP busking at Orchard thing on the 24th of May.
We've came up with a line up of songs like Smooth-Santana, Click Five- Jenny, Muse- Can't Take My Eyes Of You and two acoustic strumming songs along the lines of Lifehouse. I figure that we would have some more time for one more song but until now I still can't think of a good song to complete the line up.
We have 2 electric guitarist, 1 acoustic guitarist, 1 vocals, 1 bassist and 1 drummer. Maybe you guys could take a look at the 5 songs that are already chosen and maybe help me brainstorm for 1 more song that would suit the style that we are presenting and my band's instrumental arrangement on that day. I was thinking of something more uptempo and high rather than like the 2 acoustic emo songs. Haha. My bandmates suggested stuff like Goo Goo Dolls- Stay With You and Bowling For Soup-1985 but I feel like 1985 is so.... dunno how to describe haha.

Oh as this is our first time performing, I hope all the experienced dudes out there can maybe share some tips in terms of band balance, sound check and the performance do and don't so that we will have a great performance. Haha thanks a lot.

YouTube - Just - Radiohead - Just, Radiohead.

YouTube - suede - Suede, Beautiful Ones.

YouTube - The Tears - Refugees - Refugees, The Tears.

YouTube - Blur - Song 2 - Song 2, Blur

just some suggestions for upbeat songs. you can utilise all your manpower for any of those songs, except for Song 2 maybe.

anyways.. welcome to the world of performing. have fun and be natural. we're not asking you to headbang and act like you're enjoying it, but just have fun, essentially.

some things to take note:

1. if you make a mistake, just be cool and continue playing.
2. practice practice practice. rehearsals are good for everyone to make mistakes and rectify them.
3. rest well the day before so that you're fresh.

have fun (:

it would be awesome if you guys could record your gig and post it here, im sure the pros would be happy to give some constructive criticism (:

im not trying to make u nervous.

remind ur guitarists to change new set of strings b4 going up the stage.
i snapped a string during the last song, n just b4 solo...n i was using a guitar with floyd rose, couldn't even disguise with bends n stuff...haha....
