yeap.

i guess i will be getting a Fender Strat Highway 1 ( model no. 011-1100) and a Cube30.

Anyone knows how much the fender cost ? i heard its abt 1K at SweeLee.

Still have no idea abt the price of cube30.

ps: i will be playing mainly X Japan and Hide music.

the Highway1 is a love/ hate affair. do try the various models before you decide on one. the reception of the H1 models here differ greatly from the situation in the States where players value guitar-sensibilities rather than looks. the H1 models aren't winners in the looks department, be warned, but that doesn't prevent them from being honestly good.

the Cube30 would make an impressive starter amp

Peavey Bandit 112

$600+ bucks

80 watts

I can't believe a guy said to get 100 watts as a first amp. Speaker size is more important than wattage, get either a 10 or 12" speaker.

dont worry this guy is fulla shit

sub what do u mean? i own a H1 strat but i think it's great!

i also own one & i think it's one under-rated guitar which serious players should consider.

what i mean is that, the H1 series here are not as welcomed as they are in the states. the guitar gets put down for its lack of proper body finish & out-sourced hardware + electronics. players here are more concerned with the guitar's overall image, which is a valid concern, but should the be the primary reason to deem a guitar to be 'good/ lousy'.

Id recommend a Brian Moore guitar. Havent tried one but it looks really cool and high quality. u can try them out in davis.

perhaps another type of fender guitar you can consider are the MIJ fender. well if your budget allows you, get the higher range like the ST68-85TX etc. these guitars comes with texas special PUPs in it.

they are very reasonably priced and will last you a very long way if you continue playing.

i own a Fender USA h1 strat too i find that's it worth the money compared to buying an original fender usa strat.....though there might be a few turnoffs like the neck finishing and the plain looks but on the overall it still comes close to that of a fender usa standard strat.... :)
