First Ever Band that Inspired you To Take on Your Instrument

blink 182 for me.. haha..
was amazed/impressed/tricked by tom delonge.. like hes so cool like dat...
but its over now. those were the punk rock days, years ago.

now im more into Brand New.
the most genious band ever, to me.. n jesse lacey is a brilliant song writer
and they really got killer tones in the latest album 'the devil & god are raging inside me'
do listen to them if u hv the chance.
but i doubt many will like their tunes...

cheers~!

For me it was Green Day, and probably Jerry C he was the guy who arranged canon rock, then I got more influenced by Angus Young, Chuck berry, Jack Black from of rock!!! hahaha!

Drums: Lars Ulrich, for sure. first ever metallica song - Seek And Destroy.
Flute: Assigned after school band audition
Piano: Kena signed up by mom, quit at grade 5 theory/practical
Bass: Flea of RHCP. havent touched my bass for close to one and a half years.

X JAPAN. Influenced by hideto matsumoto, he has a unqiue and charismatic stage presence which no one can imitate or replace. But he has passed away, sad.

I would have said Marilyn Manson cos of John 5,but even though they got me into rock,it was Dave Navarro when he was in Jane's Addiction that got me into picking up a guitar

Chris Wolstenholme from Muse was the reason I picked up a Bass guitar and wondering if I can pull that intro of Time Is Running Out.

Never looked back ever since.
