firebird vs lespaul

Hi all, been looking around for a decent affordable tele. But today i went to try a tokai firebird and was pretty amazed at its coolness lol

Can anyone give some major differences between a les paul and firebird?

Dude there is more differences than u think there r!!! I would recommend u to go to the tokai websute to see the diffs if u r gonna get a tokai......if not the gibson webiste will give u the truest specs for both models!

I own a tokai firebird FB-53, its really heavy. Becos its an alder body instead of mahogany and its a set neck not a neck through

alder heavier than mahogany? maybe its a specially dense tree...sustain!

I saw one at pianoman. Should be a neck through. But for some reason it seems huge and bulky, lol should check out its case.

Anyway is there any difference in sound? any comments?

heya you! why didnt you try the lespaul at the shop too?

the firebird has a "lighter" sound then the lespaul.

more jangly perhaps?

I KNOW THIS ONE !! hahah firebirds are damn sexy to play with but i feel that the weight is imbalanced , as in the head stock is heavier than the body so it kinda does neck dives on stage especially . I PREFER THE LES PAUL ANYDAY but that won't stop me from using the Firebird live
