Have you thought of getting a small keyboard (1-2 octave midi controllers) with midi-out, and attaching it to a wireless midi-transmitter (do they still sell mid-air?), and modding the case to become a keytar?

Primitive, but can consider if you're desperate. Find a good craftsman to help you.

Hmmmm..i wonder why most keytars are roland..no yamaha/casio? other brands? LOL..i dunno if its juz me but,i find it that most keytar's are roland branded xD
