Fender 50th Anniversary Golden Anniversary

Hi guys, I'm new to the Fender Stratocaster scene, have been more of a LP/SG person. But I've finally decided to get the 50th Anniversary Golden Fender Stratocaster this weekend and give strats a shot! (:

As I know nuts about strats, I was hoping some of you guys could help me out with some of my queries. Many thanks in advance!!
(P.S. I've tried doing quite abit of research online, but it's bloody confusing cause there's so many types of strats, and hence a bomb of incomprehensible information).

1)What series of a stratocaster is it? (If I'm not wrong, its classic, or is it not?)
2)Where is it made in?
3)Any pros or cons that I should know before I purchase it?
4)Is purchasing the membership just to get into the MFO time slot worth the extra hundred bucks? Staff told me today that it's the only piece left, but them being sales people, I'm not too sure about the information ):
5)Any other tips and comments are most welcome!
(EDIT)6) Any idea whats the listed price of the 60th anniversary at Swee Lee now, and the estimated discounted price during the sale?

Thank you all (:

The Aztec Gold one?

Nice finish... Might be a bit bling, but I think it'll make a nice collector's item one day. I've tried the CS version which is a 54. That was wild...

1. It's a Classic, and a 50's spec, which means it's probably a V neck.
2. It's made in Mexico, I believe, since the Classic is an MIM line. It's most likely Alder.
3. Because it's an MIM, go down earlier to take a look at the construction first. MIMs have a tendancy to have poorer factory construction compared to some MIAs, which are also not the best.
4. Yes, even if there's only one piece left, I think it's possible that this one will still be there. Not everyone likes gold guitars...
5. Gold hardware tarnishes easily... Think carefully if this is going to be your one and only strat.

Better call to check. But if memory serves, these are held at NETT price, meaning 0% discount.

he he... it would definitely be more attractive subject to SALE discount, even a 10% consideration is worth it... 8-) but the store has its own prerogative.
