lol, the heart shaped guitar gave it away before i clicked on the link ;) i saw Vai play Fever Dream on that very guitar live in KL in 2000. one of the most touching things i've ever heard. it was much better than any of the clips on youtube and i remember when i heard the studio track i was disappointed it wasn't as good as i remembered it live.

and wow, Orianthi's got the looks and the chops! great stuff, thanks for posting!

The problem with being a girl guitarist, is that no one takes you seriously. If you're pretty, everyone looks at you because you're pretty. If you're really that good, then everyone likes you more. But unfortunately, you'll never know the truth of which people like more, and at the end of the day, you end up having to adopt a slutty attitude. Looks at Lita Ford, Joan Jett, The Bangles, Vixen, etc etc...

And if your'e really that good, the only poeple who'll date you will be guitarists who are better than you. Otherwise no one will be able to take that immense practicing you do, and other lesser male guitarists will feel too insecure...

look at Rena Petrucci... She married John... whahahaha...
 
Haha.. They do not neccessarily need to marry a guitarist what.. Can also marry People who play other instruments!

a big bunch of blanket statements there. don't speak for all male guitarists. we're not all insecure, egotistical bastards.

and the Bangles and Joan Jett were never slutty. they had an attitude, yes. sexy, hell yes. but slutty brings a picture of Courtney Love to mind and yeah, no one takes her seriously.
