female drummers

haha i learned for 6mths and stopped after tt cos my studies schedule's kinda packed.. hoping to get back to it soon whn i haf de opportunity though. its definitely fun! =D

Ya, like alvinthedrummer said, Bebop is an era of jazz innovated by the likes of Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Max Roach, etc...

I actually dig all types of music -- as long as it is played well and with integrity -- but my first love is Bebop. Hence it's in my nick. Tang is my surname and some of friends say it sounds like the sound a ride cymbal makes: tang, tang-ta, tang, tang-ta, tang...etc... :D
 
hey female drummers.
How come i never see any female drummer plays here in singapore?
most of them are like under the shell or maybe i just never encounter them before

Wah you never come drum exchange. Drummeright's playing was a blast! Who say dun have female drummers. I'm one of them as well. :)
 
i still have this memory of my early jamming days..i sessioned for a black metal band and the drummer was a pleasant-looking sis (not metal-looking at all)! Her name's Rin or at least that's what she was called..i rmmbr she was better than most local metal drummers. I think now she can kill with skill. Talk about grinding. Man!

KK,a wayy gd female drummer i know is from the band Doll Trash. She's way cool on the drums. Her name is Eva Marie if i'm not wrong. check their site out.

yeah flamingpot, if u came to the last drum meet-up, you'd prob have been surprised then cos close to half are about 20 or younger. actually just surfing the "Musicians wanted" thread and even the intro thread for all softies, you can see a lot of young musicians. so it's time to change your thinking.

meanwhile, hold your horses for the next drum meet most likely in Dec where you can check out for yourself how well these young 'uns play.

yea pinkbox,...tht's wat im sayin. dolltrash's drummer of is one of the best female drummer i know.

well,ther's definitely more bands i've yet to look out for.... :cool:
