How much would you pay for a local gig? And where you like it to be?

Maybe $15 or the covercharge+drink of the club if the bands are really good.

jazz gig - blue note @ BQ - $20 max with drink

hardcore or indie gig - zombi rock back - $15 max with drink, substation - $8 max

dj - zouk - $25 max

i think you should specify with genre of music. one could really write anything. it also depends what the status is of the performer, whether local scene, international etc. so i just listed 3 options that are common.

hey sylvester! if the linu up are mostly new bands, maybe 5-10 bucks would be reasonable, depending on venue and whether there's a free drink included. if its a a gig with good bands and a nice venue and a drink included, i wouldn't mind paying 20++ for the tix.

how about the not so well known bands? pinholes,samanta and stuff.. although i don't mind watching ronin,WGB or crossbred again.

Good and tight bands. There's a difference between a good band and a famous band. I'm willing to pay 20+ (including 1st drink or something) for a band thats tight and play good music. No name nvm :wink:

to kwerty : haha , but how would you know if they are a tight band that plays good music if you never heard of them before?

haha i agree with you man, good music over famous performers. but if the band is famous and yet plays good music, i wont mind forking out much cash to see and hear them play live!
