One of the Malaysian bands can't make it for the show. New band Jazz & Mosh will be opening the show.
The band was originally formed by members of Plain Sunset, Kate of Kale, Go'n Amber & USV in 2005. They played 3 shows before a line up change in 2006. The band now consists of members from No Direction, Go'n Amber & Kate of Kale.
Jazz & Mosh play indie music heavily influenced by hardcore. Think early Washington DC Dischord bands, think Japanese discordant hardcore, think levelplane records. The band sings in Japanese and English.

This is ol school ... moshing, body-slamming, hardcore dance .. wateva ya may call it..
I would urge all new school kids to experience this moment.. There's no place for styled hairdo kids looking pretty .. if ya wanna get messed up or released tat inner angst.. this is the place to be..
See ya guys at the mosh-pit.. and Substation is the best venue for such thing..

i guess mtv showing emocore,emopunk has a big influenced on kids.
and the influx of myspace and purevolume has banished hardcore to the past.
good hardcore bands from 80s to early 90:
1.Check out early 90s victory records epitaph bands
2. my fave are strife,shutdown, Madball, h20 , integrity,cause for alarm,warzone and champion.
A notable straightedge band would be youth of today.
lastly check out Straightedge by minorthreat. unintentionally kicked off the straightedge lifestyle.

Ok.. lets not start this... Lets not make a distinction.. between who's more hardcore and who's not..
Hardcore is for everyone.. as long as you are able to associate with the mindset and understand what its all about... whether u listen to atreyu or gorilla biscuits.. whether u X ur hands.. or wear tight fitting t's and jeans.. or sporting long fringe.. there's a place for everyone.. Lets not make such issues a bane to the already divided scene..
It'll be awesome.. if everyone.. whether ur 14 yrs old or 35... would go to the gig and support the bands playing... by singing-along, moshing, floorpunch.. whateva... Its all about SUPPORT!! And its what the scene needs most .. than more character bashing..
I'm looking forward to an awesome evening.. See ya guys there..
