kay guys there's something wrong with my amp. it's a 10w vantage practice amp and when i turn on, a loud humming sound can heard and nothing except that sound can be heard. i tried plugging in my guitar and tweaking the knobs but it just won't work. maybe someone can teach me how to fix it thanks

one of the connection inside your amp is loose, probably. and its probably better to get a amp instead of repair it... since the rest of the amp might just fall apart too...

Its CNY comon, pamper yourself, GET A MARSHALL!!!

there's no need to blast straight at your neighours face.no.

just get a marshall avt or vox ad30vt.round that range.

there are three types:
solid state,
hybrid,
and valve (tube)

very very very briefly,

solid state amps are what most ppl use at home for practice, decent cleans, most of them have sterile and weak drives. example: marshall MG series

hybrids are more or less the same as a solid state, has one preamp tube in the circuit. a marketing gimmick as the preamp tube hardly makes a diff. example: the 2 amps dime gave as an example.

tube amps. the real shit. most of the time too loud and costly for home use. but tube amps sound the best most of the time. pristine cleans, harmonically rich and responsive overdrive. example: vox ac30, marshall JCM800

to go more into detail, please google it.

are you sure that its your amp that has a problem?
maybe its your cable?
I bought a practice amp recently and turns out that it was the cable that was screwed. &^(*&(^*^^!!!
