I just got some tubes from eurotubes.com, 1.44!

Nice Baja tele, I read a very favourable review on it some time back. How does it play?

Not really, the petrol companies want u to believe it. But it actually makes petrol cheaper, cuz oil in traded n is a USD denominated commodity. So as usd drops, the big companies r actually buying oil at a cheaper rate of exchange. Furthermore, not onli is usd dropping, but our sgd is raising strong.

Petrol prices r raising, cuz they tell us the cost of oil is raising, but they dont tell us of the discount they r getting in the cheaper USD. Just like USD drop, but does swee lee or anything other guitar dealer lower their prices?

hehe no rite, but i think its only fair to them, cuz its a risk them have to take also...

i havent received it yet, but i did test it out in a guitar store before. imagine a chunkier highway one strat back profile. thats essentially what you get. people either love or hate the neck. i'm assuming players who play metal or play fast might not like it. its more rock and roots kinda thing.

the pickups (in the store) sounded like a non-traditional tele. slightly rounder and fatter and darker. a good thing since teles can get really ice_picky. its kinda like texas specials i thk, but i really need to goose up the volumes to see.

i play blues so its perfect for me :)

will post a review when i get both guitars dec 14th :P

is it possible to hand carry guitars from the US?

or amps....

if not shipping... will it be costly?

yes its possible to hand-carry them.

if in soft case, then you get to carry on 2 hand carrys.

if not, can always check it in. my parents are carrying both onto the plane for me. i guess i owe them a big dinner! :P

from my memory, shipping *should* be cheaper from the US, than vice versa. but my info is 4 years ago, so dont quote me on that

wow.... cool then i may get one in a hardcase to handcarry! yay...

bring tube amp onto plane.. no problem right? or must check in too

handcarry, can ony use softcase.

if in a hardcase, must check in.
same with tube amps, must check in too.

i tried bringing a tube amp once. dont bother. they are too heavy lol. they take up practically all your baggage allowance :P

just for info, i have handcarried hardcase guitars quite a few times in the past 2 years, with SIA

wah, then SIA better. i tried with others, they always ask me to check in.

but there is actually a loophole to get more weight on.

last time, i sent 5 guitars to the UK to sell and i was going to be overweight, so i handcarried one hardcase to the departure area, made alot of noise, they assured me that it would be ok and it got put in the cargo hold with a fragile sticker, so i got the weight free :D

jingming, really am not sure they will accept even a blues junior as handcarry.
last time, i was hauling over an ampeg reverberocket (big mistake)

ok then check in... hope i dun go overweight.... or maybe i can spill over my actual luggage to my parents or sth... so mine is only the amp

hi folks,

do you all have any good reliable USA online music store to recommend? what brands and products in particular?

also, what is the estimated shipping cost if:
1) store direct ship to singapore
2) store free ship to vpost USA, vpost USA ship to your address.

thanks.
