FAKE or not? MIJ fender

Hi, a noob here.. need some help to roughly identify authenticity of this MIJ fender

dats the only pics n no details given. the price is 300bucks only



any comments or sarcasm are both highly appreciated n tqvm in advance

Assuming you're trying to buy this piece from some other site, why not ask for more pics and details from the seller?

sure thing..
but i know nothing 'bout fenders.. the only thing i know is, it cost a bomb..
i ady managed to arrange for testdrive it later tonite.. so, can u giv me points or details to look/check up for, according to the model..

If I'm not wrong, MIJ Fenders have a warranty/authenticity slip or something with the instrument's serial number on it (I have mine).

Try requesting to see his slip then.

it's real as far I can see for the neck.

to know if it's 100% real, take off the body and neck. there are stamps that indicate the model. you should expect a ST-XX

Also behind the neck theres the serial number and a "crafted in Japan" or "made in Japan" decal.

It's a good price. don't even consider.

i asked for more details n the seller din bother to answer yesterday
smssed & called many times before meet up also din get any answer last nite

so i guess it's a counterfeit then..

the guitar in the picture is definitely real as far as the eye can tell. Standard series for Fender Japan. However whether the guy was the one who took the picture or stole it from some website is another thing.
