fab distortion pedal

you cannot compare the ds1 like that because the fab is in a different league.
the fab is more of a vintage distortion, it doesnt sound modern at all, and it sounds less harsh. You've gotta try it to know it. I choose the fab over ds1 because it suits my playing style more.

im looking to change over from ds-1 to mesa v-twin.. still considering..

unless you have something to boost v twin, it might not work out for you. The V twin suffers from a loose low end, IMO, its "muddy" loose.

Do check that out when considering.

And yo uhave to burn a big hole to get one.

i have my options laid out.. vtwin(mesa) VS tubeman(hugheskettner) VS platinum(AMT).. the problem is i havent tried the vtwin for myself.. only the tubeman and platinum

damn it shred..u seem to have tested so many stuff man.

damn.

Not enough man, not enough. I would like to try more, just for trying's sake.

The V Twin I tried for an extended time in MDC, a friend had it. Goosed with a TS9DX, yeap, you got chug and its much tighter. Else, just... blues lah. Warm and all. Loose loose loose low end...

Dunno where to find a vtwin now anway. Discontinued bugger and people who have it, well, it goes for a HIGH price... > 400 bucks.

Try the Tubezone @ G77 Dhalif. Its might be in the same league as the pedals you mentioned. I wonder how much tone does the tube in the platinum AMT pedal contribute?

Might as well get that Koch pedal with 3 channels, 4 tubes running hot and all.

well if ur looking for a md megadistort

i have one and its for sale :D

anyway

what the md2 does is it can give u 3 kinds of sounds

1) crunch light gain
2) crunch pure distort
3) headf*ck distortion (think almost mt2)
