Phil: it means when u press the space bar, the song starts from right at the beginning, or it starts from the bar tt the cursor is at. Kinda useful if u are tabbing songs. Whenever u wanna hear how the entire thing gels then just press space and it plays right from the beginning to the end of where u tabbed it, and there's no hassle of scrolling to the top and all tt.
xspace: midi drivers? care to share what are they and where can i get them?
Creeping_Deth: gp5 is free to the extent that u can use it as a tab reader. To activate the saving feature (if u are tabbing songs urself) u have to pay $$. Not sure abt the RSE too, i think u need to pay to activate it as well. Then again, piracy is rampant. I think u are able to find the full version easily. (not encouraged)
On the whole i feel tt the RSE is pretty decent. For someone like me who uses digital drums the RSE is the closest thing i can get, though it's still lacking in some areas. And the bass sounds good enuff for me to try incorporating it into my songs.
Functions wise, the drag and select is invaluable and makes it a better editor compared to GP4. And if some of u realise, if u type in the song titles and add all those descriptions, they appear nicely at the top of the song like a official score sheet. Damn pretty.
Yea i love GP5. Any upgrade is always good.
