hey ho let`s go!!!!!!!

the Ibanez soundgear is pretty good!!!....i`m using it..
Yamaha RBX models r not my kinda taste..coz to me the Attitude is the ultimate Yamaha bass..i`m using it too....RBXs tend to have a very very bright tone...

i`m considering selling my Ibanez for $200......any takers???
need to buy a 5-stringer....

PS:i`m not experienced..just my opinions....

Hi FATCAT,

if you want to get a 5-string bass please take note of the low B. I presume that you are getting a 5-stringer to use the low B, the thing about low Bs is that sometimes it's too muddy on some basses and we have to take note, a lousy low B equals to no low B ..

ensure that when you play the low B it's clear and articulates well, that means it's not too muddy compared to the other strings.

hey ho let`s go!!!!!!!

oh yeah .. like someone mentioned before .. it's really a god-send for my bass .. .i pounced on it when i saw it on luther .. man ...

anyway .. i'm not playing in any band currently ... time lah .. =P ..

hmm...niwae..between yamaha and the samick greg bennett basses...which wud be a better choice?i mean in terms of workmanship..cos yamaha, from wad i heard is mostly made in indonesia, and of course i heard tt the workmanship is rather crappy at tyms (inconsistent)..so..yea..im stuck bet these two..

If there was a way to rate one product BETTER than another, period, you'd probably get a real answer much faster. Why don't you try both and see for yourself? I said Doom (movie) sucks and my friend found it fun to watch...??

is craftsman good?citymusic is selling a craftsman fj-105 bass for like dirt cheap.245 only.i wonder if its good..its solid alder body though..i dunno wad to choose..

We were playing a craftsman jazz bass last saturday at the Soft meeting, most of them liked it and commented that it had good tone.

Try to avoid body materials like agathis and plywood. Yes, some cheap basses are made of plywood. A good starting block would be an alder body bass.

so...between yamaha rbx 170 and craftsman FJ-105..which wud be a better buy?considering the workmanship,tone..blablabla...heh

I would go for the craftsman, I don't really dig agathis that much, although it's still a pretty good body wood compared to plywood.

please don't get a tgm bass. workmanship and neck finishing horrible. string action, bridge, tone, bad. tgm guitars are surprisingly decent though, just not the basses.

samick and vantage basses are still decent basses, even with alright tone.
