i duno anything about drum wanna learn soon but may i ask why is there so many types of drum some big some smaller and whats the diffrent between electric drum and the normal one...

different sized toms for different tones...if you're a beginner you probably won't bother much about the tuning. but as you play more and more gigs you'll realize that the tuning of the drums and the resonance of each tom is very important in bringing out the music. imagine you're playing hard rock but your tom is a 6" rack tom..
usually people only use 1 bass drum...for non-conventional kits you can add virtually anything you like to it. the reason why there are more than 1 toms, i've already explained. for different tonal colors and depth. imagine playing a fill-in with only one tone, won't sound as good. groove is created not only by timing but by different timbres and colors...
