Ehh, did you guys know Lippi is bringing the EU XI to Old Trafford to play MUFC for their 50th Anniversary of United Europe?

Lippi was quoted as saying "...hoping that some of his World Cup winning stars from Italy will take part." Why do I feel uneasy here? Especially after the WC Zidane's incident, oh no... dirty italians on the way.

haha, can see some headbutt actions... dang i really wished football is like rugby, where everyone has a microphone in them and we can hear every single conversations they're in, even nasty ones!! So actions can be justified and fifa can do something about it, well at least with so much technological advances are in, least fifa can do is to implement the video to decide a goal or a foul or something...

remember the CAROLL incident?? where MANU steal the victory can't remember which team they're on with.. haha!

What's the point of having the technologies, but once the unjustifiable part is proven, it makes no changes to the results like depriving the winning team of the 3 points, or banned the player? Point proven but what's next? Nothing done.

If the referee stops a play which he thinks is a foul but further verification on video playback says it's not, I don't think the referee association will want to play their own backside in this manner. People will start questioning why did the referee stop a play that is totally legitimate? Or why can't the referee be 101% sure before he pull out his whistle?

This is only possible when fans around the globe can accept errors, both from clubs, players and referee. But this is not something that seems viable.

I may be a MUFC fan but players like Ronaldo... should really be dealt with severly like long bans and stuffs. All those play-acting is only bringing a bad name to the club. The only reason why Ronaldo can go on and on with his acting is because nothing is done about it. Proven he fell with no contact, proven and so? Why should he care as long as he get to put his feet on the pitch? When the time comes to be deprive of the opportunity to play, then Ronaldo will watch himself on the pitch. And it will send out a message to the rest of the players, if you play-act all the time and get banned, which club will want to buy you only to have you warm the bench?

I think the introduction of technology will interrupt the flow of the game. The players' momentum will be lost if the referee decides to check out the wicked gadget. Maybe the idea for the "goal or not a goal" is good...but to determine whether or not a "foul" is really a foul, it should be the referee's decision on the spot and that's what makes football exciting, mistakes.

cheating is cool. its fun. and to see the opponent's reaction is great. can't forget how childish Arsenal became during the RVD war. HAHAHA that was classic.

RvN you mean.. I mean RVD might be good with his kicks but I'm sure he doesn't play football as well as van Horseface..

As for playacting, I was happy when i saw Corradi get sent off for his 2nd yellow card, which was for diving.. About time a ref had the bottle to send someone off for that.. Hopefully more refs will follow suit, and diving will be a thing of the past.

Not to mention it was Graham Poll who did it as well...teehee...

Imagine if RVD played footy...he would Van Daminator the players if he got fouled!

tech might make the game get to straight like tennis.
ok.Arsenal match comming soon. get ready.
especially chelsea supporters.wait, are there any here in soft? :)

Wooo thanks Arsenal ...

But honestly it is not even match 19 midway yet. If MUFC slips for the later half of the league, Chelski can still catch up. 8 points is not alot of difference especially when Chelski still have a game in hand. If Chelski win, means the actual difference is only 5 points, which is only 2 matches.

5 pnts is betta than no lead rite?

plus Man U always play betta in the 2nd half of the season anyway.. so their form in the front part has really been extremely good compared to the past seasons..

now we just need a couple of signings after Larsson and we'll be all set for 2nd half of games.. maybe Hargreaves (or Mavuba) and Klass Jan Huntelaar

no worries man.. take each match as it comes.. but it will be pyschologically gd for man u to be leading after the boxing day matches.. from there on.. its who's mentally tougher

cheers to arsenal for drawing the game. damn it was close. I was really hoping arsenal would win. but that essien goal was unexpected. did u see the way the ball curled? amazing. and the close calls really made me like want to have a heart attack. good match.

You guys know what! The song "We are the Champion" by queen keeps playing in my mind. Maybe , it is a reflection of the things to come

We are the champion my friend
We will be fighting till the end
We are the champion, we are the champion
No time for losers
We are the champion of the world

If there are any mistakes in the lyrics, please forgive me. Afterall, I'm a human :smt042
