Epiphone Valve Junior Combo

Hey all, just got the combo version n I must say the clean sounds are bright n punchy. I normally leave the volume knob at 10 o clock most of the time n then if I need distortion, can rely on my pedals. Since the VJ doesn't have EQ knobs, I tweak the tone via my RC Booster.

I heard that turning the amp on for like half an hour or even more before playing, can really season the tubes n hence, produce an excellent sound. But I`m afraid of overheating the tubes until they get blown..should I worry about this?

just use about 1 to 3 mins to warm up the tubes before turnit it from stand by to on

thats what i do

Generally speaking, if used two or three times per week, a set of EL34 output valves will last 18 to 24 months. Pre-amp valves [ECC83/12AX7] as a rule have about double the life of the power valves, so about 3 to 4 years under normal playing conditions......i usually heat it up to almost an hour as i do some chores at home before i start playing the guitar. My tubes lasted for 5 years before it finally gave out on me....lol!!;)
