English Muff'n

hey i have an english muff'n thats kinda broken; when i turn it on, my volume suddenly drops, and i have maxed out my gain knobs on the muff'n...anyone can help or anyone knows who i can look for? the set up that i had when i was trying this out was:

am strat > EH english muffn > blues jnr

*your cables
*the pedal's tubes

strong feeling the tube needs to be replaced.

I've replaced both AYs with 1 new Sovtek AX and AY, it worked for a while then it became like that...I'm using my current cables with my fireball 3 now and its alright...
