erm diz is probably a noob question..
btw what is the differnce btw emg active and emg passive pickups??
which is better 2 play metal..??
and what emg pickups does kirk hammet use??

u can play metal w/ acoustice guitars also

just because metallica uses active emg pups

doesnt mean metal bands use em

its upto u to figure out which u like

when it comes to tone acquisition (any genre), it's the final output that matters.

my tele here is perhaps my favourite guitar for all things metal- no EMGs...

no. they are battery powered.

fit them in your guitar cavity and chug.

when installing an active pickup (assuming ur not diy-ing), the store will do all the necessary things so dont worry. just replace the battery when it dies..

actives burn a bigger hole in your pocket but totally worth if u like it
