Hi all

Electrico will be playing a show with a couple of our friends from Australia, Intercooler and Mary Trembles, who're stopping over here between their US and UK tours. We'll be playing some new tunes so come down and have a pre-Halloween rock n roll party!

Date: Tuesday 30 October, doors open at 7pm
Venue: Barfly, The Cannery at Clark Quay
Lineup: The London Fog support at 8pm, followed by Mary Trembles, Intercooler and Electrico.

Amaka is indeed a very nice person. So humble and honest. Only thing is, he dont drink, so difficult for me to buy him drinks! ha.haa


Ok, the little concert was nice. The place is abit classy, filled with syt (maybe groupie of Electrico?).

London Fog played some nice tune. More like 70s-80s British rock. Singer is quite cute, can interact with the crowd. Wasted as some of his guitar solo were lost in the mix. The rest of the band should 'act act' abit more. The only lacking is stage presence. Rock star must play like rock star! Ha..haa

Mary Trembles. The sound is very power but their music a bit mono. It just keep going on and on. 1 or 2 songs ok lah but after a few songs, I got lost already.

Intercooler is good. 4 piece and they played more like a party band. The crowds are starting to move abit. Singapore crowds are damm hard to please! ha..haa....

Electrico started their slot at about 11pm. David explained their new stuff before they started but I kinda couldnt hear coz his voice is very deep (low pitch). Cant remember the exact words I told AgingYouthWilly and EarshotNatalie but i think something along the line of "Depeche Mode + reggae".

The beer there is so expensive!!! I can only afford 2 glasses. When I reach home, my wife said,"wow, tonight so good, never drink?"

Sad.

Sorry ah late reply, now James answered most on my behalf already! Hehe.

I think the London Fog fits the title of the show very well, they very Rock & Roll! They
have some catchy tunes which I feel sounds even better in their recorded version. They even dress Rock & Roll! Seem to be quite a young band.

As James said, the bands should really 'act act' abit more. Apart from lead singers and Dan from Electrico, who always does his trademark jumps (which lurgee captures very well!), the rest really lacking stage presence, as you can see in some photo, all stood in same position!
(can excuse the keyboardist and drummers though).

As for the sound, the music, I can't comment much as I really have no idea in this sort of thing and don't listen to such genre. All in all, I find the tunes very mono also, maybe too technical? Sorry ah, not a musician. Can only comment what I see. :)

As James said, the place is quite a classy place, really makes an appropriate bar version of the charming band Flybar! Was quite surprised by the good turn out (sorry no photo as proof as the place too dark and I didn't want to use flash). For a while, things does not seem to be the case, the place was quite empty even when the first band started playing. But the crowd grew as the clocks ticks. Most of them don't seem to be regular gigs goers though, more like party people. Even spotted some TV personalities.

Thats about all I know and had to leave around just after 11pm to catch the last train home,
didn't manage to shoot Electrico for the full set.

soft: Thank you also! Hehe. Drinks so expensive! Why waste $ juz to get reddish face! Look at pretty girls and blush also you get the same effect.
