If you count the fact that the XO has side jacks for the input/output, the length counting the cables would be comparable. Obviously the depth would be considerably more with the orginal one.

there are some physical differences other than the size. the XO BMS works on a 9V DC power supply and is daisy chainable. the BMS uses a many many volt power supply, i forgot exactly how much.

the second difference is that the XO BMS has a red LED to indicate whether the pedal is engaged. the BMS only has a power led if i'm not mistaken. any BMS owners please correct me if i'm wrong

Read on talkbass that the XO BMS cannot be dasiy chained even though it a 9V power supply. Not sure about the details though. The older one uses a 24V power supply.

Ya, remember reading the part about the problem with daisy chaining. It'll still work well if you have a power supply with isolated outs like the Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2+ or the T-Rex Fuel Tank Jr.

wah ehx is becoming a pain in the ass... the micro POG and bass blogger are also pedals that cannot share a power supply... although some people have tried chaining the micro POG with no problems

but that's purely at your own risk, as power supply related problems could get ugly
