Edwards Les Paul Club

Wow... All the Edwards owners are surfacing :)

Seeing that I have gotten the Standard model, I probably wanna go grab a SG girlfriend for him.

I am eyeing the E-SG-80D (which is a discontinued model). Not sure if they do bring it in anymore.

WhiteStrat: that is a lovely piece. Any idea where can I go to remove the gloss finish on my axe?

I personally prefer that nitro-finish.

we,the Edwards owners,pledged ourselves
as one united brotherhood
regardless of shape,price and wood
to buy exact replicas
based on the exact specs of the originals
so as to achieve happiness and guitar orgasm
for our Edwards nation

the pledge for Edwards Brotherhood

I don't think that's possible to do without damaging the paintwork. You'll have to refinish the WHOLE guitar...

Very beautifull binding on both guitars, love it.
woohoo yeah! Edwards does produce some great stuff man.. haha so great that I had to go back and purchase another one after my LP..

strange though, everyone's always complaining about the service Davis has.. when i first went into the shop more than a year ago to test the Edwards LP, they were more than glad to let me and my friend doodle around on it.. needless to say i went back the next day to doodle around somemore before purchasing it.. they were also quite helpful with bringing in my CY-165.. no complaints about their service there..

I checked out the ESP/edwards webby, the price tag in yen, CY165 173250yen = SG$2260, is this correct?
How much did you got it Jiterator?

Bottomline: Go to Davis :) I don't know why you find them unfriendly, but I alway chat with Janet and the other young girl in the store & they are uber friendly and helpful people.

I just used the Edwards for my church service today... Whoop Ass!!

Who says you need to buy a Gibson to get the real deal?? Buy an Edwards today (okay, now I am opening up myself for flaming and searing arrows!!)

I bought a grassroot from Davis 3yrs ago, wonder if they still sells them. Im funding for an edwards too :D

some of them has a slim neck, i wonder how slim is slim. if only davis brings in more edwards. E-CY series in particular

dont mind i add in grassroots

Grassroots also can :) All in the ESP Family though, but try to keep it Edwards :)

Which model(s) are you interested in?

Hey! That's my old Edwards!!! I'm glad you like it. When I first picked that one out, I KNEW it was special.

Play it in good health man... Play it in good health...

P.S. I like it without the pickguard...

The neck pickup relic doesn't look the same... Do you have a shot of the serial number? I've got one... Could compare. WOuld be really cool to realise I've got your old axe. It really is special.

Trust me... it's the same. I can even tell you how the pickup covers got to be like that... I also know where you bought it from, and I was there that day when you came to pick it up, and another earlier day when you went to try it.

When I bought it from G77, there was no such mark. The nickel covers were shiny... then I waited a bit to remove that annoying SD sticker, which leaves that rectangular mark on the pickups themselves. THEN, my rhythm guitarist played it a few times in our jam sessions (I've honestly only played it ONCE in a studio, and a few minutes at home).

I never cleaned the pickups. They were sitting in the case in my closet for months at a time. One day, when I took it out, for some reason, the nickel had aged like that. It's as if everytime I wiped the pickups once in a while, only that area gets the exposure, and is more prone to corrosion. Weird. I tried to clean that corrosion off, bit it's tough. I think needs polishing...

BTW, that's not a relic effect. It's a REAL aging effect...

But that guitar is light, and very very bright and responsive. It's not muddy. Not even acoustically. It's got a really nice woody tone to it.

P.S. watch that strap knob near the neck. It's got a tendancy to come loose... Unless you've already glued it down?

You're right. It came off a couple of hours before I was about to take it to church.

Quickly got a toothpick and then screwed everything back together again. Its held up well.

Heh... Toldya...

I actually miss the tone of the 59' on this baby...

Wohoho sweet LP you got there.....actually I have the exact same one as yours jony, and whitestrat I share the same experience as you.....my PU covers became super aged with marks that I cant even explain how it got there lol....although the covers originally came with a brushed finish to make it look "aged", they somehow managed to become really aged over time!

Btw just want to know, does anyone has any idea how their ES 335 copies sound and feel? Kinda tempted to get one myself after having a damn gd experience with the LP copies!

MrBukka: I'm interested in getting one too, although avenues for purchase seem rather limited - Ishibashi is out of stock till late July

Tubescreamer bro, it is really unlucky haiz.....but i don't think will be gettin it soon man....need to gather some $$ first lol. But it is really a nice buy......keke maybe go over to japan to get it.

Haha wont the airfare + accommodation work out to an astronomical amount? Unless you're going to holiday there anyway :)

Ishibashi quoted me about $1.48k (at current exchange rates including shipping) for the 335.
