Hmm.

I'm honestly baffled as to why delay pedals whether new or 2nd-hand are so frickin expensive.. I mean apart from being the 2nd most used effect (in the event that overdrive/distortion is number one IMO and you don't believe that wah deserves 2nd place) by guitarists.. there's no reason for those buggers to overprice this little metal/plastic box.

Although you can argue that it does open up loads of different dynamics... I think they should be on the same level (in terms of price) as tremolo or compressor. IMO lah btw.

Ok, to be fair, most boutique are quite unfairly priced, but based on that benchmark, delays are definitely harder to design and implement than say ODs. Its fortunate that ODs are the guitarist's bread and butter if not we all will be damn poor(not that we aren't already 8O ). Engineering perspective, harder to make it right my friend, way harder. Haha ya but still a bit overpriced.

Want anarouge deray can gets da johnson delay, shweet swwheet anarouge tone. Only $65 from Ranking or Music theme. If no lykes the bypass can gimmie I mod true bypass woooOO!

ok wrt the ehopark there IS a learning curve. i have gotten over it. HOOO~~~

anyway, try out the stock boss delay pedals first, cos they're worth a shot for the short term try-out-ing

The Boss one's are the clearest digital delays I've tried. If you wanna do edgistic stuff they are great. Some of them have a tap tempo out. And if you are just using them for slapback or some thickening then you probably won't be changing the delay time much.

I'm modding some guy's Johnson anarock delay now. w00t w00t no cleaness here just wonderfully anarock mud and decay.

sex.

haha, imho i think tap tempo is helluva impt feature that everyone should utilise one way or another.
anyone tried the glide tempo thing with the keeley modded ad9?

anyone using DD-5 here?.... I have seen someone using it and it's really good. better than DD-3 or DD-6. only that it's discontinued now. it has tap tempo input that you can set the tempo while playing without needing to bow down and turn the knob.
