and,its probably just for show...there are a lot of stupid stuff on ebay going for hundreds of thousands...like a epiphone G-300 for 100 000...

maybe you could get a squier strat and peel off the decal and forge hendrix's signature. but probably not. also, the auctioner rejected my offer of $12.50 for his guitar, can you believe it?
hmmm maybe if i go bid $12.51 i might get it :-D

It cost $225 back in 1930 so considering the inflation, it would probably be around $2800 if the guitar was priced brand new today. Its a high-end guitar back in its day and it still looks super duper mint now after 78 yrs! Plus considering there were only 14 made, I'm not suprised the price reached millions.

i saw a 90 year old Gibson acoustic (according to how it was advertised) posted on luthers in 2006. was gg for $2000 i think.. the difference..
