I am totally hooked by his playing. He executes the notes so clean that it sounds so amazing. Sadly he had no material of his own so far (English), perhaps he has some in Brazil.....hopefully an English solo album to come.
in another vid he even did juice with a zoom 505ii, and it still sounded sweet
and yes that just proves that tone is in the fingers, although some other turds that i know of(ya'll noe who you are) disagree and start saying crap like it was heavily mixed and bla bla bla
There's plenty of players out there who have surpassed Malmy in sheer technicality... but they often lack soul. Malmy has soul, albeit, it repeats every 12 notes.
I thought the Zoom efx he used sounds horrid.
Personally, I don't think he did it anywhere near as well as Yngwie, but this guy is damn good. Doesn't have that Yngwie feel going on for this song somehow..
I think he can do with better efx too, its amazing what he can do with his fingers to a zoom to get that tone though..
haha kissmyaxe it seems it just shows how so called pro u are to put one guitarist against another. for one, to beat malmsteen u really gotta be able to do his thing den surpass him. and this guy cant even sound like malmsteen. the vibratos esp. couldnt get it going. the closest ive heard for a malmsteen copy is joe stump and even he cant outdo malmsteen. so yeah.
WOAH.. the guy is gre8, definitely neat in his shredding, but i think in the music world, it is all about learning from one another and growing, not like "Wah I can shred better than you & I am so much better. Hahaha, you are a lousy player" blah blah kinda thing..
if u have that mentality, it is barely hard to progress imo..
honestly, just listen carefully to the upsweeps and ull realise he made mistakes. and listen to his take of sea of lies. plenty of mistakes everywhere. i guess im shit and i cant play these songs but hell i can tell there are alot of mistakes everywhere.
Why is it, people, not you KissMyAxe, tend to "overlook" such mistakes and just go on praising and praising?
I noticed in SOFT, the OM Section... there will be posts with mistakes and what not, but the posters just... seem to ignore it, never hear it, or just plain ... I dunno... apple polish?
We needs a more critical environment methinks, especially when it comes to "superstars" - people who are good but not THAT good yet.
