An accident happened to my friend's beloved Eastman guitar recently. He was distraught and I had to reassure him that the guitar could be restored.
Here are some pics of the repair process:
The neck cracked at the heel and was completely detached from the body. Nothing a little clamping and gluing won't take care of.
A refret was done and the fret ends nicely bevelled.
A mammoth ivory nut was put on which sounded mellower than the original bone nut.
