Earphones for use with ipod!!!

Shure E2C or even better E4C. Price is hefty for the E2C but the sound quality is really much better than the S0ny equilvalent.

I use a pair of creative in-ear earphones for my ipod, not sure of the model.
Costs around $50 and it does a pretty decent job of canceling noise when i'm taking public transport

Personal advice: Go down to Adelphi and look for Jaben. Somewhere on the top floor I think. Get the Crossroads earphones, whichever model they have and you like. It is cheap, excellent, and the post-sales service you receive there is unmatched.

Also go get the in-ear foam pads. It blocks out practically everything from the outside so even if your ipod is on low volume, you can hear everything clearly and crisply.

+1. Head down to Jaben.

I got a pair of Crossroads Bijou 2 from there. Owns my Bose tripod earphones in terms of comfort, noise reduction, durability and sound. Owns my Shure SE210 in terms of comfort and sound.
I read about the reliability of the earphones on Jaben's forums and quite a number of them were negative. I haven't had any issues with them so far. :\
