you don't actually have to buy resources, there are many places like youtube and freedrumlessons.com where you can get lessons without having to pay a cent.
That said, those resources you mentioned do look good. you could check out reviews on them or even google something like "best drum resources" to see what resources have been tried and tested? Good luck =)
