drum set recommendation

hi guys noobie drummer here, been drumming for 2 months and i think i will want to get a set at the end of the year when my exams finish


any recommendations? my budget is maximum 1k. have been reading about and seems like the rythm traveller is a more popular choice, however i tried on one and did not really like it.


is the pearl target or tama stagestar adviserble? if possible inclusive of cymbals. i just want this kit to be practise one at home, not planning to take it for gigs or anything............

erm.. try out peace? its a good brand. i feel i'm using it. check out ezimusic the web. any queries just email tt guy. he is very friendly. yup the demolition is 800+. can still buy cymbals

hm...i think its quite hard to get something that is decent with a budget of max 1k.its either: 1) okok drumset with crap cymbals
2) decent cymbals with a lower-end drumset

but i'd rather u go for option 2,cuz it just takes good tunning and u can make a low-end drumset sound really good,however,if u get crap cymbals,it will sound unsatisfactory and u wouldn't be able to do anything about it except upgrading.

wah... that'll be like...a "i'll rather kill myself" situation
how long can u wait and endure WITHOUT any cymbals,thats almost like suicide lol. then you wont be able to enjoy your drumset fully cuz no cymbals,i feel that they are equally as important as the drumset itself

ahaha no point rushing right? i mean buying crappy stuff wont get you anywhere and you will probably end up regretting, so just get a decent kit first, cymbals just wait for later i guess...........


yeah definitly will be buying during the swee lee sale, maybe delay for 6 more months save like mad and get everything in one go........ thanks guys

ur questions are mondo obvious. for a 50% off sale the queue will obviously be damn long and of course u have to know wad u want beforehand, so that the person in front of you does not buy it before u do, because when the doors open, it's every dude for himself. well, i've been to one EOY and one MYS and both queues were damn long.
