hi, i'm planning to get a acoustic drumset in a HDB home. and volume is one key factor.
I don't mind the tone and sound of the kit as i'm just using it for practise purposes. But do have a budget. Anyone has any recommendation? and how can i reduce the volume of playing?
My friends recommended the muffles skin? (i'm not sure what you call that). It will mute the sound totally when played. But i would prefer playing it with sound.
There's those "paddings" where you place on top of the skin, it will reduce the volume right? I'm aware that playing with the pads wont have the bounce attained from normal skins.
Lastly, Can i stuff pillow and towels into the bass, toms etc to reduce as much noise as possible if i'm using the normal skin?
