3pm – 4pm Drum Workshop with Pablo Calzado: Techniques to Supercharge your playing
An internationally recognized funk, latin and jazz drummer, Pablo Calzado is possibly one of the best drummers ever to have graced the shores of Singapore. Also one of the busiest, he is currently drumming for 8 bands in the local music scene on top of his other session work. He has also performed for various stage productions such as the Lion King but he is most known for his incredible technique and monstrous drum solos.
4pm – 5pm Bass Workshop with Hiroaki Maekawa: A Unique Approach to Technique, Styles and Groove
Hiro is an active musician in the local scene and has been busy performing and promoting his band, Tokyo Blue, a jazz influenced progressive rock trio drawing heavily from international artists and composers such as Hiromi Uehara, Avishai Cohen and Marcus Miller. Their second album entitled Monochrome Rainbow, was released in 2012 at Esplanade. Known for his killer technique and righteous groove, Hiro is truly one of the most sought after players in the local music scene.
