What does taking your license have anything to do with age? I'm 22, still no license.

at the end of the day, if you are good, you are good. no matter who your instructor is. experience matters. understanding your car also matters.
but if you really suck and are really not meant to take to the roads, then it probably takes a very good instructor to change that. maybe he can make you pass. but i guarantee you that you will still end up being shit on the roads. just look at the number of shit drivers on the roads. accidents happen when a lousy driver crosses paths with some guy who thinks he is the singaporean version of lewis hamilton, with a massive ego but not enough skills to pull off the shit he *thinks* he is capable of doing.
