Drive Pedals and TriAC

Hey guys.. i hope you can help me on this.. Basically i plug my guitar into my Sansamp Tri AC then either straight to PA or Amp.. However i find my Sansamp TriAC lacks the gain needed to do nice palm muting chugga chugga stuff (i tried maxing the drive, doesnt do the job).. If i'm not wrong I gotta have a tight distortion right? What do you guys reckon? My TriAC has 3 saving modes.. I use one for Cleans, 1 for a an Overdrive tone and one for Lead right now.. Should i get a tight heavy distortion pedal and run it over my TriAC's clean or get an overdrive pedal/booster to boost my TriAC's Overdrive? For people who have worked with the triAC, is there enough headroom for nice boosts? I'm looking for the most cost effective solution to do the job.. yea.. hahah Thanks a million in advanced! PS: I mainly use my triAC as my AMP.. cos i usually run direct into PA.

if there is an eq you might wanna consider jacking up the bass freq responses? that way you'll boost those thick lower chucka stuff out~ if eq isnt not availiable den maybe use ur neck pups to get those extra bass freq? if it's still not idea den maybe just jack up the volume?hopefully the amp or pa you have got a good bass freq output..

just my dunnoe how many cents!

Bass = chug? Actually, its treble = chug. Try dropping all treble, maxing your bass, you'll get no chug whatsoever. Bass just adds more meat to an already chugging tone...

The TRI AC is not a high gain unit.

And no you should not get a hi gain unit to run into the clean channel of the tri ac, unless you like it. Go and try it first. I hated it, drive pedals into the clean channel of the tri ac sound too hi fi, too bright, and you can't change the character of the clean channel.

Consider getting a low drive pedals, some Liquid Sunshine, Boss BD-2, to pump your main drive channels.
