I think this bugger here is underestimated. He is better than what a lot of people think he is. Tell me what you guys think about him.

Cheers.

Not very familiar with him, but remember liking the grooves he laid down when MUSE was featured on Live @ Abbey Road a few weeks back. That was the first time I'd seen him play.

The clip I saw - One of their simpler songs, but it's amazing what his playing does for it.

he used to use alot of doubles in the earlier albums of muse.. but now he lays simple but real catchy grooves...

in my view... he is a great drummer which really is the backbone supporting muse... love his acrylic kit!

he's great drummer.... possess the ability to play within the framework of the music and picks his spots to propel the drum parts upfront. yes, he's defintely playing simpler (possibly getting abit sick of the chops) check out 'apocalypse please' for some of his more chops heavy stuff

yeah.. portnoy got his smaller set of drumset idea from bonham..
and even the acrylic idea...

it all started when he was asked to do tribute band to Led Zeppellin...
and since then, he stuck wif it, cant let go of it and in the end, combine together with his own huge set to make it even huger! hahahaha

and yeah, as portnoy put it in his "In Constant Motion" DVD, Muse is his new found love..
dats why Never Enough from Octavarium and Prophets of War from Systhematic Chaos sounds sooo.... MUSE....

i think he is so underestimated. He is never simple. Just check out this song 'ASSASSIN' from muse's latest album blackholes and revelations.

His kit is teh sex i tell you guys. A Tama Crystal Ice StarClassic Mirage kit with custom made white powder-coated hardware. And he even acquired a new gretsch kit as a secondary drum kit on gigs.

yeah.. i tink he's grooves are real creative! :D

from shadowing the guitar in citizen erased

to filling up d space in Sunburn..

when i 1st heard him when i started learning drums i wuz lyk..

8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O ! hahaha..
